This, my friends, is CALEB.
He transferred to Grove City College this spring semester from Ohio Northern University and he's from Findlay Ohio. Here is his brief biography that will be appearing in the election booklet at the table:
"Junior Class Presidential nominee, Caleb Parke, is a Political Science and Economics major involved in College Republicans, Life Advocates, Men of God and Orientation Board. Growing up on a horse farm and working for my dad has taught me to be punctual, hardworking and selfless with a positive attitude. In high school I served as class president, treasurer and secretary. If elected, I promise to fulfill every presidential duty and, if possible, get to know you on a personal level."
Please note that the information that follows is just based on my experience with him thus far... so it's not comprehensive, but I promise all of this is true to the best of my knowledge!
If I had to choose three words to describe Caleb, they would be:
- Genuine
- Motivated
- Excited
If I had tho choose a fourth, I'd choose the word "Hilarious"... but let's talk about the top three:
1) Genuine - Caleb loves Jesus. It's true! And it's also extremely EVIDENT in how he lives his life. He is completely, unashamedly SOLD OUT for Christ... it's awesome.
2) Motivated - I've seen this aspect of Caleb in the amount of energy and diligence with which he does his schoolwork. He is an extremely hard worker and desires to do all things he commits to to the absolute best of his ability. Cool, right? :)
3) Excited - This is extremely evident in how he IMMEDIATELY dove into Grove City life. If you briefly glance at his brief bio mentioned above, you can see how eager he was to get involved with on-campus organizations. He loves this place and is so excited to be here. He is ALSO excited to potentially serve all of YOU next year as president of SGA. :)
Random funny facts that I've learned about Caleb:
- he absolutely LOVES Sarah Palin. (note the photo above... he is indeed holding a season of "Alaska")
- he loves early riser sandwiches from the Gedunk
- he also loves Gedunk smoothies.
- though he doesn't seem like it, he's TOTALLY a country boy. He loves horses, it's true.
- on that note, when he was in grade school and his teacher asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said "I want to be a horse." He has since come to the sad realization that this is indeed impossible.

My favorite animal used to be a hippo – I got to feed one at the zoo for my birthday!
